Four decades in the Boston music scene
Phil Aiken is a fixture in the Boston music scene, having performed, recorded, and collaborated with dozens of local and national artists and bands as a keyboardist. His collaborators read like a who's who of American roots and rock music: Buddy Guy, Eddie Vedder, Buffalo Tom, Little Feat, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, and many others.
As a solo artist, Phil's recordings and performances have established him as a thoughtful and clever singer-songwriter with a legion of influences, informed by artists like Todd Rundgren, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, Elliott Smith, and Warren Zevon.
Phil emerges as a fully developed artist without apology or reservation on his most recently released album, Here Goes Nothing. Following up the sprawling four-album set Redemption Center with this sharply focused effort, he tells you what he thinks, feels, and is annoyed about with disarming honesty.
